This design was born from my desire to create something different, a beanie that stands out from the classic winter hat while still keeping you warm and practical. I wanted a hat that could cover the ears but also give options to wear it differently, depending on your mood and style. That’s how the Cloud Chullo Beanie came to life: a playful, versatile design that can be worn in three different ways; with the brim folded, with the earflaps tied up, or as a looser, more relaxed fit.

This pattern was originally made with Feels Like Bliss yarn from Lion Brand, which gives a fluffy, cloud-like texture. But don’t worry — you can make it with any yarn you like! For the pattern photos and explanations, I used merino wool so that the stitches are clear to see.

However you style it, this design is here to keep you warm while letting your personality shine, because even in the cold of winter, a beanie should be fun and reflect who you are.

YARN:

The original design was made with Feels Like Bliss from Lion Brand (about 200 m).

For the pattern instructions, I used Merino 120 from Lang Yarns, also about 250 m.

Any worsted / medium weight or even bulkier yarn will work, just make sure it’s warm and comfortable for winter.
